Council Goals

Theme: Local Units Empowered for Service
Mission: This Council is about lifting our local PTA unit leaders up and cheering our local PTA units on; encouraging our local PTA unit leaders whenever and wherever possible!
Goals:
1.   To support and train our local unit PTA leaders and to help them succeed.
2.   To develop and diversify leadership at all levels of PTA in our county.
3.   To actively engage in Advocacy on behalf of our county’s children and youth.
4.   To promote and increase PTA memberships.
5.   To promote a positive public awareness of PTA.

HCAL

The Hamilton County At-Large Local Unit (HCAL) serves as an at-large unit for the county council. Members join the at-large local PTA to support PTA advocacy county-wide and to support funding council schlolarships.
Standard membership is $10. Six dollars out of every $10 standard membership is donated to the Council's scholarship fund. There are other levels of HCAL membership to provide additional support to the Council.
The President-elect of the Council serves as the at-large local unit president.

PTA Purposes

To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
To raise the standards of home life.
To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.

Position Statements & Resolutions

1. The council supports implementing seat belts on school buses and the installation of additional cameras.
2. The council supports measures in bullying and harassment prevention.
